Charged us with no authorization & can't get refund - Stay Way

Terrible company with a deceitful sales and customer service. Two months of service that I did not even know I signed up for with no leads at all. Plus you can never get through on their phone number – always busy. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. Looks like this company doesn't have any real contract from you and only goes by verbal confirmation. They say i signed up for their service yet never once emailed me anything to show what I had signed up for, what was included, how I would see their mobile apps they were creating, etc. yet they figured out how to charge our company

I have cancelled many times and they still charge me. Run Run Run from them!

I have called and cancelled. They will say it is cancelled, then another charge. They are dishonest and only want to steal your money and give you nothing in return. I think they need a large, all get together law suit and news report on TV. Let's do it! They say one thing and never do it. I am going to get to the bottom of taking our hard earned money and then do nothing to earn it. I will keep calling and send this out to the TV stations for review. They are a stealing company and never use them.

From former employee- don't trust these guys.

I worked for a "sister" company of Appstack for almost two years, until I (and another manager) began putting together the pieces that our company, as well as appstack, were absolutely scamming people out of their money. The CEO, CFO and other managers pretend to work with management level employees to obtain information about what was going wrong (customers weren't getting any actual results, most times the ads never ran, etc). They were a actually using the information we provided as ways to continually change things up and keep scamming people from their money. Changing the layout of the site, along with the name of the company(ies) is one way they do this. Customers sign up for recurring monthly charges (most often $299 or $399) for a certain number of ad views, YouTube video ad views, or ad clicks. They set up your account with the notion that you will be able to monitor how many views your ad is receiving. This makes customers believe they can watch their ROI themselves. Fact is, only about 30% of customers actually do monitor them, and once they see their account isn't working, most often cancel. Those who don't, were likely told they're dashboard was down, or they were contacting YouTube or google to identity the problem. Sounding familiar to any of you pissed consumers? Figure about 5-10% of customers take their word for it and continue to dish out the money, sometimes even forgetting about it entirely. The other 70% never think to monitor their dashboards at all. This company and its sisters, continue to grow and make money while its customers, you small business owners, lose hundreds of dollars a month. I talked to handfuls of small businesses who told me our company was their last resort, that their struggling business believed in companies like appstack, pixelfish, citysquares, backyard, and now, sightly, would provide them the advertisement services to save their business. Do not trust these people. Recently the 'christian' CFO bought his new girlfriend a house, after leaving his wife and four children behind. These are the people you're paying.

If you have a legitimate complaint about the business practices of a company, this is an appropriate forum. If you're just bitter about being fired, or have some personal axe to grind, this is not the right place to fabricate things in order to smear good people.

Please be advised that AppStack does not offer YouTube advertising. It appears this poster may be associated with a different company than AppStack, as their tags reflect several different companies.

NEVER use appstack

They call repeatedly and we ask them to take us off there list and they reply: No. Then hang up and call back only 2 hours later. What company in their right mind would have the stupidity and arrogant audacity to think we would advertise with them after daily calling and hangup on us after we have asked them 100 times to stop calling us. They are WAY to expensive. I can't believe anyone would pay $500 to hope for business. Don't waste your money on appstack. Most unprofessional and rudest company. I hope the collapse.I don't care how much they have made they have made it off of being thieves, lairs and arrogantly rude to their business neighbors. Shut your doors appstack you have no idea what it is to hold business integrity and professional courtesy.

Appstack took our money and showed no results dishonest business

Updated by user Oct 15, 2012

After canceling are account with appstack are credit card was used with out consent to make a 299.00 dollar payment to the appstack company and the money hasnt been returned

Original review Sep 27, 2012
My company received a phone call from an app stack representative he explained how his business could advertise and expand our business. He offered me a package deal for $299.00, this package was supposed to guarantee 11 calls leading to business transactions. I received 3 calls that turned to be bogus. Also on the provided Internet advertisement they had misspelled my company's name. The first strange call was from a woman claiming to be stuck outside of her garage door wanting an instillation price on a keypad so i gave her an estimate of 30% below market value to test the integrity of the call and never received this transaction? The next call was a man calling about his garage door malfunctioning and setup a service call to have the door evaluated. We setup to be at the house between 2-4 pm after receiving the call at noon. Our office received a call off of the job at around 2:20 pm. The service truck at that time was already on the street of the address and continued to drive by the house and stated everything looked fine with the door up. The third call was received just recently appearing to be from an app stack number asking for an 8 by 8 garage door installation. We offered him a new door and installation for a price of 30% less than Lowes hardware and didn't receive a transaction for this door either. The only reason I know these calls came from app stack is because it was a brand new number being released October in the Columbus Ohio yellow pages app stack was the only company who had the phone number. I tried app stack in hopes that it would give me better internet advertising and to see what the company could really bring to the table. With overview of the prior information I believe i have been conned out of my money. This was an extremely bad investment for my company.

Appstack: all hard sell, NO support

I signed up for an Appstack "free 30-day trial mobile app." The sales representative was very persistent in calling me before I signed up, but afterward I could not EVER get anyone from Appstack on the phone, for support, information or anything else. I emailed my client support person, I left voicemail messages, and none were ever returned. In order to cancel my account I had to call the sales department, since not only was there no response from support, their voicemail was chronically full. You should know that it's possible to get a mobile site for much less than Appstack charges; $59.95 is RIDICULOUS. There are companies out there who will provide them for $2-$5 a month.

Dear PrettyLady,

I apologize for your experience with AppStack. Customer service is our number one priority and hearing about your frustrations will be noted and used for coaching and training purposes with our team.

As for our $59.95 package, this also includes mobile advertising, along with the mobile website. Which we have found to be very competitive in pricing.

Thank you for giving AppStack a try and we wish you the best of luck in your business.

Do NOT

Shady shady dealings. Offered me a "free month" advertising with them, then disregarded emails and voicemails canceling their service before the trial offer finished. Billing manager said the offer actually ended 30 days to the minute - as in the sales guy calls at 9:55 a.m. and you will be billed at 9:55 a.m. 30 days later and there's "nothing they call do about it." She said they don't tell the sales guys this information when they sign people up, which means other people have experiencing this "gotcha" style attitude. They ended up refunding my money, but not without a lot of yelling first. Do not do business with these people.
